We are delighted to announce the signing of centre-back Luke Matykiewicz, who joins the Robins on a 28-day loan from Premier League side Leeds United.
Matykiewicz recently signed a two-year contract extension with Leeds, keeping him at Elland Road until 2028, as he continues his development with the club's Under-21s.
After beginning last season with the Under-18s, the then 18-year-old stepped up to the Under-21s, making eight appearances, including a 3-0 National League Cup victory over Gateshead.
On the international stage, Matykiewicz has been capped three times by Northern Ireland at youth level, making his debut in a win against Malta Under-19s.
Earlier this year, the defender followed up his maiden appearance with two further starts for Northern Ireland Under-19s, helping his side keep clean sheets against Romania and Kazakhstan.
Luke joins the Robins as we prepare for another busy period of fixtures, and everyone at Ilkeston Town wishes him all the very best during his time in red and white.
Welcome to the Robins, Luke!
