Our defence of the Derbyshire Senior Cup commences on Wednesday night as we make the short journey to Northeast Derbyshire to face Clay Cross Town.
Last time out in the competition, a dramatic final resulted in a penalty shootout, where we emerged victorious over Glossop North End.
A changed team is to be expected for the fixture, with players who did not start on the weekend likely coming in from the start this time around.
On Saturday, we made it back-to-back wins after a batting victory at home to Hyde United, thanks to Dylan Reason’s first goal of the season.
There is certainly renewed belief in the Robins’ camp, as we take on the first of two consecutive midweek games, the second being against Curzon Ashton on Tuesday 10th November.
Clay Cross have had a successful season to date as they occupy the final playoff position in the United Counties League Premier Division North, whilst also opening their Derbyshire Senior Cup campaign up with a win against Gresley Rovers.
We hope to see as many of you make the trip as possible, as we look to build on our recent run of form.
Come on you Robins!
