We return to cup action on Saturday, 26th of September in the FA Trophy, as we host Anstey Nomads at the Microlise New Manor Ground.
A free weekend may prove to be exactly what the Robins need after a difficult run of results.
Last time out, we fell to defeat against Workington as two quick fire first-half goals and a second half penalty proved to be too much of a mountain to climb, despite Anthony Dwyer’s third goal of the season.
Our opponents, The Nomads, have had a strong start to their league and cup campaigns. They sit in 6th position in the Southern Premier Central and progressed to the Second Round of FA Cup Qualifying following a 4-0 victory over Northampton Sileby Rangers.
The contest will be the first between the two teams since 2022 in the FA Cup, where Anstey narrowly edged us out via a penalty shootout in the Emirates FA Cup third Qualifying Round Replay.
Our best run in the competition came last year, where we emerged victorious against Evesham, and St Ives Town, before falling to defeat at home to Curzon Ashton.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Microlise New Manor Ground, as we look to progress to the third round of qualifying.
