The Robins are back in action on Tuesday night as we host Guiseley AFC at the Microlise New Manor Ground in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
It was defeat on the road last time out for Ilkeston, as despite a solid performance, two second half goals secured victory for Lancaster City, after Anthony Dwyer’s sixth goal of the season had given us the lead at the break.
Colin Daniel and Ash Hunter will continue as Interim Managers for the time being whilst the search for a permanent successor continues.
A return to home turf will be welcome for the Robins, where last time out in DE7 we put in a strong display but were narrowly edged out by Warrington Rylands.
The fixture will be the first of two home games on the bounce, as we host Redcar Athletic on Saturday 10th of October.
Yorkshire based Guiseley have had a strong campaign to date, finding themselves in 5th position after a run of five wins in their last seven outings, the most notable of those being a 4-0 drubbing of Emley, before dispatching of Quorn by four goals to one.
They were however defeated last time out away at Alfreton, meaning the Lions will be looking for a response as they embark on a second consecutive away trip.
Ilkeston completed a convincing double over Guiseley last season, running out 4-1 winners at Nethermoor Park, before claiming a narrow 1-0 victory at the Microlise New Manor Ground in the most recent meeting between the teams.
We look forward to welcoming you back home, as we search for a crucial three points.
Come on you Robins!
